FLADEN Flotation Suit 845XY
This flotation suit has the same features and quality as the bestselling Model 845, but the design is a bit more modern. It is certified to ISO 12402-6 as a swim suit, with taped seams, a fold-in hood, knee reinforcements, neoprene cuffs, a high collar with fleece and an integrated belt. The suit has several pockets, with the breast pockets insulated with fleece and the zippers are water repellent. Other pockets are on the upper arm and the two legs. There is also an inside pocket with zipper. The reflector used was SOLAS reflective tape. With this suit you get a light but warm and very comfortable flotation suit.
NEW The model XXLS is for smaller, stocky persons, because a size XXL at arms and legs would be too long.

Please note that only the flotation suit does not guarantee a rescue. It serves as a buoyancy aid and protects against hypothermia. Depending on the water temperature, it delays the time until subcooling and thus creates a time buffer for the rescue. From a safety point of view, one-piece suits are to be preferred, as these do not allow the ingress of water to circulate. Thus, this is heated by the body heat and thus forms an insulating layer. It is also recommended to wear suitable underwear. These suits also protect you from the first cold shock. The suits have a buoyancy of 50N. An average person needs 20-30N to stay afloat. It is therefore more important to have a better fit than to choose the exact weight category.
The FLADEN one-piece flotation suit is certified to ISO 15027-1 as an immersion suit, which is not possible with two-piece suits. One of the requirements of this certification is that the body temperature of the wearer should not drop below 2 ° C within one hour in 5 ° C cold water. Tests with the FLADEN Flotation Suit have shown that body temperature dropped only 1.2C.
