Have a buoyancy of no less than 50 Newton for the average adult. This level is intended for use by those who are competent swimmers and who are near to bank or shore, or who have help and a means of rescue close at hand. These garments have minimal bulk, but they are of limited use in disturbed water, and cannot be expected to keep the user safe for a long period of time. They do not have sufficient buoyancy to protect people who are unable to help themselves. They require active participation by the user.

Note:
Flotation suits are usually not immune to fainting, i.e. if you fall unconscious into the water, the suit does not automatically turn you on your back so that your head is held above water. For your safety, also use a life jacket with 275N buoyancy.

ISO 15027-1: 2012 Class D: Protective suits against the cold
This standard specifies performance and safety requirements for cold protection suits for work and leisure activities to protect the wearer's body against the effects of immersion in cold water, such as cold shock and hypothermia. One of the requirements of certification according to ISO 15027-1 is that the body temperature in 5°C cold water must not drop more than 2°C after one hour. In terms of maintaining body temperature, one-piece swimsuits are advantageous, as the slowly penetrating water can hardly circulate and is heated by the body heat, it acts as an insulating layer. The Mullion North Sea I provides two hours of protection against hypothermia.
